Sheet Tipping

Summary

Sheet Tipping (glueing) is the process of tipping on an endpaper to the front or last section of a book or tipping a 2pp, 4pp or 6pp sheet or section onto a carrier section as a part of a hard case bound book or soft bound book whereby the sheet would be too thin to feed through a hopper.

Minimum size:  150mm x 80mm

Maximum size:  320mm x 305mm

 

Tips

Please ensure that the grain direction of the endpaper or sheet being tipped is in the same direction as the section that it is being tipped onto.

 

It is imperative that both the sheet being tipped and the carrier section or sheet is 100% varnish-free where the glue is to be applied, the glue width is about 3mm
